1. Large LED Lamp

Multi colour lamp that flashed when you receive an incoming call, or when a voice mail message has been left.

2. Soft Keys

They are used to access the 4 options listed on the bottom row of the screen.
The options change depending on the feature you are using.

3. Flexible Programming Keys

They are programmable to be assigned different functions of the phone system.
Most used: one touch access to dial internal extensions.

4. Recall Key

It is used for accessing Telstra network features ie. Call waiting, 3-way chat etc.

5. Feature Key

It is used to access administrator features of the system, only available to NEC proprietary handsets.

6. Answer Key

Used when answering multiple calls. If you are currently on a call, pressing the Answer Key will place the current call on hold, and answer the next incoming caller with the touch of one key.

7. Microphone Key

It is used to toggle the external microphone on the handset (located in the bottom right corner of the phone). When the LED light is red, the microphone is active.

8. Menu Key

It is used for accessing your handsets call history, directory and personal settings.

9. Navigator Dial

Pressing the navigator dial up or down, controls the handset volume. Pressing the navigator dial to the left or right accesses the redial list and the speed dial directory respectively.

10. Hold Key

Places incoming or outgoing calls on hold.

11. Transfer Key

Transfers external callers to another destination.

12. Speaker Key

Pressing the navigator dial up or down, controls the handset volume. Pressing the navigator dial to the left or right accesses the redial list and the speed dial directory respectively.

13. Handset

14. Handset Speaker

NEC’s high fidelity speaker enables you to hold crystal clear hands-free conversations all from the comfort of your desk.

15. Number Pad

Dial Pad

Essential for dialling phone numbers or interacting with automatic phone systems (IVR) that require you to push buttons while on the phone, like your voicemail or phone banking.

Special Keys
  • 0 - Press this key first before dialling any outside numbers.
  • 9 - Used to call the operator.
  • # and * - Useful for accessing 'Access Codes' or executing actions from your phone.
Dial Modes

Choose the dialling style that best suits you.

  • Normal - Lift the handset, then start dialling to make a call.
  • Direct - Start dialling, the call will be made automatically and activate the speaker. When the call is connected, you can either lift the handset to talk in private or continue talking hands free. When talking hands free, make sure the microphone is on.
  • Preset - Start dialling, when you're ready, lift the handset or press the Speaker key to make the call.

Alternate between modes by pressing Feature key + 8.

Backlit Display

The bright backlit LCD makes it easy to view and enter data in any light setting.
