Cameras

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra boasts the most adaptable smartphone camera setup. It features a 200MP main camera, two 10MP telephoto cameras offering 3x and 10x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. This phone is a top choice for vacations due to its vibrant colours and impressive zoom capabilities.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max competes with Samsung’s top phone by offering a 5x optical zoom, but it doesn’t have the 3x optical zoom found in the iPhone 15 Pro, which lacks the 5x optical zoom. In terms of specs, the iPhone 15 Pro Max has three rear cameras: a 48MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP telephoto camera. Apple claims they’ve enhanced HDR for photos with the new iPhones. Additionally, there’s an upgraded portrait mode that captures depth data in every photo, allowing you to transform a regular photo into a portrait using the Photos app.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra records decent videos, but we anticipate the iPhone 15 Pro Max will perform even better. Additionally, you can save videos directly to external storage with the new iPhone. Both phones feature a 12MP front camera for selfies.

Processing Performance

The iPhone 15 Pro Max runs on Apple’s A17 Pro chip, made with advanced 3nm technology. It comes with a 6-core CPU, a 6-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. Apple suggests you can play console games on this iPhone, a unique feature. Also, the base model offers 256GB of storage, similar to the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The Samsung flagship uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chip, which worked smoothly in our tests. We didn’t experience any slowdowns while using the S23 Ultra. However, the iPhone seems to have a stronger GPU performance. Both phones come in three storage options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
