What is Office 365?
Office 365 is a subscription based online office which provides a number of products and services that you can tailor to your organisation. As Office 365 is powered by the Cloud, you can access your Microsoft Web Apps and files from anywhere and depending on your plan, you also get the latest version of the Microsoft Office Suite (2013) which you can install across 5 devices.
Office 365 gives you access to your eMail and Calendar, Instant Messaging, Document Sharing and Office Web Apps. On top of this the Small Business Premium Plan gives you access to Desktop versions of the Microsoft Office Suite.
And this is just the beginning…
The benefit of Office 365 is that it allows you to access business-grade tools and always have up-to-date version of the software. You pay for a subscription to Microsoft Office rather than buying a full version of Microsoft Office Suite 2013 that becomes outdated over time.
All Office 365 plans are paid for on a subscription basis, monthly or annually.
How does it work?
With Office 365 all the information storage, computation and software are located and managed remotely on servers owned by Microsoft. This greatly reduces the costs of onsite equipment and maintenance. (Read more)
